Our one-of-a-kind evening is back this year at Canyon Lodge. Join us for this free event as we celebrate the holiday season with a firework spectacular that lights up the Sierra Sky.
New for this year, all activities will be outdoors and include fire pits, snowmobile rides, a sledding hill, and a new lighted forest excursion between Schoolyard and Canyon Express – keep your eye out for Woolly and Santa! So grab your crew, bundle up, and come find us in the fun at Night of Lights.

Events subject to change. Please be aware that indoor access is extremely limited this year. Be prepared to spend the entirety of the event outdoors.
Canyon Lodge
Limited food and beverage offerings will be available on the 3rd and 4th floors. Check-in for the Rooftop and Indoor Viewing Areas will be on the 4th floor.
Regardless of vaccination status, guests must wear a mask when indoors, including Canyon Lodge. Please refer to Mono County Health for more information.
Rooftop Viewing Area | SOLD OUT
Take it all in with your friends and family atop the Canyon Lodge roof. Open from 5–8PM and providing prime show viewing. A cash bar options will be available for purchase, plus standing room. There's no other place you'd rather be to enjoy the night's events.
Indoor Viewing Area | SOLD OUT
Gather with the family for a night of pure magic. Enjoy the Night of Lights show from a warm indoor setting in the Cloverleaf room on the 4th floor of Canyon Lodge, with limited seating provided and room for standing.
Event Parking, Transportation & Other Details
Limited parking is available at Canyon Lodge, all event-goers are encouraged to use free public transportation to get to and from the Night of Lights. Please note, masks are required in all shuttle busses and The Village Gondola regardless of vaccination status.
The Village Gondola
The gondola will run until 10PM from The Village Plaza to Canyon Lodge and back. This option is best for guests staying in or near The Village. Paid parking is available in the parking lot across from The Village. The Village Gondola will be filled to capacity. Private Gondolas will not be available.
Special Event Shuttle & Town Trolley
Routes are available for the evening for guests staying a various in-town locations.
Park & Ride
Locations will be set up at the Mammoth High School and Juniper Springs Resort/Eagle Lodge. Shuttle buses will run between these locations and Canyon Lodge for the evening.
No Dogs Allowed
No dogs are allowed at the event.
