Fun For the Whole Family
The Mammoth Lakes Basin is a family favorite destination for hiking, biking, fishing and more. Begin your adventure at our shore-side resort Tamarack Lodge, which is situated at the base of Twin Lakes, the first lake in the Basin at 8,500 feet. Continue up Lake Mary Road or along the paved bike path to find Lake Mary, Lake George, Lake Mamie, and Horseshoe Lake.
Along the way, you'll find many hiking trails leading to the higher elevation lakes in the Basin. The Mammoth Lakes Basin offers hiking trails suitable for all levels. Some popular hikes include: Duck Pass Trail, McLeod Lake Trail, Mammoth Crest Trail, TJ and Barrett Lake Trails, and many more.
